Title: Another new Iceland [Alternate mix]
Description: The first, (and so far, only,) single released on Grimble Records. Another New Iceland/Here was intended to be a double A-side but someone forgot to send the complete sleeve artwork to the pressing plant. This version is the alternate mix that was hotly tipped as the final version but unceremoniously dropped at the last minute.

Lyrics: Last night I died six times,
Now I know death like never before.
I thought I knew you but,
I never really could.
And I thought I knew you but,
I never really could.

I've got a reason and I'd like to tell you,
Of the words I never spoken before.
I've got a reason and I'd like to tell you,
Hold my hand I've never told the truth before.
And now I know, and now I know,
I'm trapped in the shadow of you,
And now I know, and now I know,
Nothing they tell you is true.

You say I have to help myself,
You don't always have to hate yourself.
And I watched you leaving I,
Was glad you left the note.
And I've read it a thousand times,
You ask me to believe but I don't.

I've got a reason and I'd like to tell you,
Of the words I never spoken before.
I made a promise that I'd never love you,
Hold my hand I've never told the truth before.
And now I know, and now I know,
I'm trapped in the shadow of you,
And now I know, and now I know,
Nothing they tell you is true.

Tomorrow lasts a thousand years.
Tomorrow lasts a thousand years.
Tomorrow lasts a thousand years.
Thousand years.
Ten thousand years.
(Twenty five minutes to go...)
Ten thousand years.
Ten thousand years.
Miscellany: Recorded at Swallow studios, near Sandbach, Cheshire in October 1986. Mathew was anxiously waiting for some meaningless football result whilst recording the backing vocals with Mike so that's why you can hear him say "twenty five minutes to go..." in the last verse.
